Isms are based on the surrounding cards as they are read in pairs. It also depends on what spread she is using and how she is using it.
These are the card definitions she uses and most likely follows. Its very specific. think card > noun > verb

Explanation of How Yona Reads

Yona primarily uses the Celtic Cross spread as the foundation of her readings. As the reading progresses, she often adds additional layers or switches to a different spread if she feels more clarification is needed.

The Opening Spread

The opening cards describe the present at the moment the reading begins to unfold. This does not necessarily mean the exact moment you’re watching the reading. Instead, they establish the context and overall theme for everything that follows.

These cards are not primarily predictive. They can describe:

• Your current situation.
• An event that is about to unfold.
• A very recent past event.
• An ongoing pattern.
• Or, occasionally, a moment much further into the future, whether Yona consciously realizes it or not.

Generally, the opening spread does not look back more than about a year.

The Key Opening Cards

The opening spread consists of:

• The Heart of the Reading (Center Card): The main theme or core energy of the reading.
• The Challenge Card (Crossing Card): The primary obstacle, influence, or challenge surrounding the situation.
• The Shadow Card: The card at the bottom of the deck, representing underlying energy operating beneath the surface.

If you choose Pile #3 (the right pile), Yona has explained that she likes this option because the Shadow Card becomes the Outcome Card, making the card at the bottom of the deck the final outcome of the reading.

She has also stated that the first card (the center card) is the true heart of the reading, which aligns with the traditional Celtic Cross where the center card represents the core issue.

Timing

The opening spread generally covers approximately 6–8 weeks. This is Yona’s usual timeframe unless particularly fast- or slow-moving cards appear, in which case she will normally mention it.

The Predictive Layout

The layout that follows is the first predictive section of the reading.

Unlike the opening spread, these cards represent future events. Their timing is not fixed—predictions may unfold within weeks, months, or even several years depending on the reading.

Many members of the community have noticed that the first prediction in this predictive layout often seems to occur within about six months. However, this is only a community observation and not something Yona has ever officially stated.

The remaining predictions may unfold quickly or over a much longer period.

How the Cards Work

Yona reads the cards in combination, not as isolated meanings. Each card influences the surrounding cards, and their meaning changes depending on their position and relationship within the spread.

No card is entirely positive or entirely negative. Every card contains both opportunities and challenges, and its interpretation depends on the surrounding cards and the context of the reading.

As Yona has said:

“Always the shitty things happen first. Not because I want them to, it just tends to be the pattern.”

She has also explained that when the cards mention something once, they may continue picking up surrounding details later in the reading. This can make it seem as though the message has shifted, when in reality the original message is simply being expanded with additional information rather than replaced.
