Oddly enough I recently had this conversation with my therapist. I was raised on the idea of Karma and if you do good then good will happen to you but honestly...I no longer believe the world works that way. I have seen terrible people get a happy outcome. So I have shifted from "I hope they get their karma and a bad ending" to " I hope I get a happy ending" because ultimately....I can't fully say I believe Karma exist anymore.

I believe it’s important to do good, and I believe that goodness tends to come back to you more than negativity - not because of karma, but because you naturally attract good people and positive energy into your life. 💕

I don't believe that at all. Speaking from experience, many times being a good person and doing right by others attracts narcissists and takers. It attracts shitty people to you. I have not experienced good people and positive energy in my life and I know I am not a bad person at all. I do the right thing even when no one is looking. I'm very generous in every way. I give of myself to the point of exhaustion. I've consistently been there for others. I've done so much for so many people. That "good karma" has not been returned to me at all. The consequences of me being the way I am are loneliness, isolation, depression, tears, anger, hurt, pain, and bitterness. Yet, I'm still kind to others and I still do the right thing.

I believe karma does indeed exist but it doesn't always happen in the same lifetime. You can live your entire life being a shitty person and still have everything great happen for you but in the next lifetime, you may live that entire existence in misery and suffering.

I’m really sorry that has been your experience 😔 I was oversimplifying my point, and I did not mean that being a good person guarantees you will only attract good people or good things. Unfortunately, kind and generous people can absolutely attract takers. I have also experienced some really horrible things myself😥

What I meant is that I still believe doing good tend to create more positive connections over time, but it also needs to come with boundaries, discernment, and protecting your own energy. You deserve kindness and support too, not just to keep giving until you are exhausted. Be a lightbulb, not a candle!

I believe in karma, even though it isn’t always visible. People often face challenges quietly, and just because you don’t see someone struggling doesn’t mean they aren’t. If you’re going through something similar, know that you’re not alone, and it’s okay to take your time as you find your way forward.

I’ve also noticed that we tend to attract like-minded people. When I was dealing with depression, I found myself surrounded by others who were negative, pessimistic, and bitter. As I came out of that period, I realized I no longer wanted to be in that environment. Even when I started focusing on the positive, those same circles would often steer conversations back to negativity.

Eventually, I took accountability for my environment and made a conscious decision to surround myself with people I wanted to emulate, while stepping back from those who didn’t align with my values. Over time, your environment begins to reflect your inner self.

Everyone’s journey is unique, and I hope everyone reaches a place where they feel encouraged to pursue the positive changes they deserve.

I am a strong believer in Karma. I have seen people who wronged me and others get theirs. Two former work colleagues fell and they hurt their foot. IIRC. One had a bad sprain, the other broke their ankle and had to get a metal plate put in.

Recently someone in my current place of work, was fired. They got their Karma. I have seen people not get Karma; but maybe it will happen later on in life.

                          Kinda!

There was one guy who really wronged me badly. He was my high school ex, and I genuinely did everything I could for us. Years later, he still tries to reach out and get back with me, but honestly, I think karma is sometimes just the life people create for themselves.

Someone who can hurt others without much remorse usually isn’t at peace internally. They might look like they’re winning from the outside, but I feel like there’s usually some kind of inner turmoil or emptiness there. We don't live in the same reality.

Yes my therapist bought up this point but I still don't feel it rectifies anything, likely your soul will reset and be in a new body. The connection made from the previous life to the current life will practically be nonexistent as the person will likely not remember and just feel "I am a good person but bad things happen to me" and ultimately be able to be the victim, so there wont be any growth or true karma but rather someone innocent suffering for past life sins. With this idea, we can all feel like we're good people getting punished for the things our old bodies did, so are we a bad person getting our Karma or are we good people getting residual karma that we had nothing to do with? Also goes along the lines of whats truly bad vs good, culturally morals change. It's all very complicated.

One reason I say this is because I know someone who treated their GF poorly, cheated and etc but is now happily in another relationship and I sometimes think about what that poor woman is going through while he is happy and thriving in life. If you ask him, the idea of suffering in the next lifetime wouldn't bother him because 1.) he feels he's done nothing wrong 2.) it doesn't really impact him in this lifetime

Its like someone once said "Karma is something we tell ourselves to make us feel better about how someone else has treated us, but thats not how the world works. " thats why I shifted my focus to me instead of others.

I mean not sure if karma or whatever concept is out there
I like to believe in natural consequences and circle of life.
When one wrongs others way too many times, it’s a repetitive pattern so obviously they get slapped at some point. Whether that’s by the accident or someone’s doing.
